About SuperStroke

The 1.7 Degree Factor
The most common cause of missed putts is rolling the wrists. Doing so causes players of all skill levels to pull or push their putts. A twelve foot putt will be missed if the putter face is off square by as little as 1.7 degrees! Traditional narrow putter grips encourage increased hand pressure and promote rolling the wrists. The longer the putt, the harder we squeeze. The harder we squeeze, the more we roll the wrists. Super Stroke fills the hands and dramatically reduces grip pressure which leads to a smoother stroke. Super Strokes patented non taper design allows for finger tip placement on opposing sides of the shaft. This feature keeps the putter face square on contact and dramatically improves feel for distance as well.

Smooth Is Good
All recognized instructors stress the importance of a relaxed arm and shoulder only motionfor the putting stroke. Keeping the wrists from hinging and rolling is key to better performance on the green. Grip tension destroys any chance for success on the green and narrow grips only exaggerate the problem. Super Stroke has proven to be the most effective introduction for promoting a smooth, fluid, and tension free motion on the green.

Superstroke Volume Volume
SuperStroke is unmatched when it comes to overall grip volume. The large surface area brings more of the grip into contact with the hands, inhibiting breakdown of the wrists and encouraging use of the preferred arm-and-shoulders putting motion. Scientific tests have shown that the SuperStroke requires up to 32% less grip tension and represents a significant improvement over conventional narrow putter grips. The SuperStroke’s size encourages use of a “soft hands” technique and ensures a smooth and fluid putting stroke.

Versatility

SuperStroke offers more options for customizing the grip to your particular needs. The flat side of the grip can be placed in any of three positions:

Option 1
Flat Side Up
The flat surface of the grip can be installed traditionally face-up on the top of the shaft.
  Option 2
Flat Side Left
This option places the flat surface against the palm of the left hand (for a right-handed player), ensuring that the back of the left hand is square to the target.
  Option 3
Flat Side Right
This option places the flat surface of the grip against the palm of the right hand. Placing the hands low enough on the shaft for the flat surface to extend beyond the wrist prevents wrist breakdown and encourages an arms-and-shoulders only motion.

Adjustability
SuperStroke makes it easy to custom-fit your putter in only 15 minutes. With SuperStroke, you can literally change the length of the putter shaft. Using the provided spacer rod, the SuperStroke grip can be raised on the shaft in 1/4” increments, to a total of five inches. This feature allows you to save money by purchasing a standard putter and modifying it to the appropriate height and position at address.

Important
To conform with USGA rules, the spacer rod must be glued to the putter shaft. USGA rules also require permanency of installation. To ensure conformity, the final step of the installation process involves fully tightening the two lower “piercing screws” per instructions and filling these screw holes on the grip.
